FAQ's

CAN WE BRING OUR DOG?
We love to have dogs stay over, as long as they are well behaved and sociable with good recall. We have horses, children and wildlife on site that we need to protect.. If you want to bring your dog, please call prior to booking. We do have a limit of one dog per accommodation - if you would like to bring more than one dog please contact us first for written permission (there will be a charge of £10 per day per additional dog (please select at checkout. You will need to alter the days to the amount of days staying and dogs accompanying)).

Can we buy logs & charcoal?
Yes you can pre-order kindling, sacks of logs, charcoal & firelighters on the 'Extras' when booking. We will have them ready for your arrival.

how many log sacks do the hot tubs need?
In our experience the hot tubs require: 1 x kindling & 3.5 - 4 x sacks to get the hot tub up to a hot temperature (this will differ as the weather changes). Once you are at this temperature and have lived your best life enjoying your relaxation. The tub will cool over night but will still be nice and warm for a dip in the morning. If you want to heat it again for the evening, it will require an additional 1 - 1.5 x sacks.

How far away is the local shop?
Just a five minute drive or a 30 minute stroll away is The Countryman Pub, where Allan sells amazing veg, local produce and necessities. If you are looking for a larger store, you would need to go to Southwater village, which is a 10 min drive. Please keep in mind that we sell fantastic hampers full of quality local produce on site.

What time is check-in & Check out?​
Check-in is 2pm and check-out is 11am.
If you would like an early check-in or late check-out, you can make a request in the 'Extras' box when placing your booking. Please let us know if you are going to be any later than 7pm so that we can arrange for someone to be there to show you around.

Is there anywhere to charge my mobile phone?
We have electric points running off the solar which are ample to charge your phone. There is a bluetooth charger in the unit.

CAN WE PLAY Music?
Very low volume music from the DAB radio is permitted, but otherwise acoustic music only to keep the camping vibe!

Can WE walk into Horsham?
If you have the stamina, yes you can through the countryside and footpaths. We do also have amenities in Shipley and Southwater villages, which are much closer. It is all dependant on whether you are walking for supplies or for enjoyment.

Can we bring a disposable BBQ?
Sorry NO disposables as they make a mess of the grass, but you are welcome to buy a bucket one from us to save the mess. They are small enough to pack up and take home if you wish.

DO YOU HAVE ELECTRIC?
There is no electric, the individual accommodations do have solar power that allows 12v lights, DAB radio within the unit, and phone charger.

Can we have camp fires?
Absolutely! Is it possible to camp without one? However, we do insist you read the rules on arrival and keep the fire over the stones and off the floor. Please keep a bucket of water by the fire and make sure the fire is extinguished before you go to bed. There is also a communal fire pit that you are welcome to gather round and enjoy.

Can we bring a campervan?
No. We are sorry, but we are a campsite only.

CAN WE CHANGE OUR BOOKING?
Yes, we allow bookings to be changed as long as you give adequate notice (minimum two weeks) and the new dates are within the same season. If the new dates equate to a higher price, you will be required to pay the extra when re-booking.

IS THERE PARKING ON SITE?
Yes, there is parking on site. Two vehicles per Accommodation are included as part of your booking. Additional vehicles will incur a charge of £5 per night. When booking, please add any additional vehicles as an extra.
